MANUSCRIPT LENGTH & AUTHOR CHARGES
Important: If you need to submit a page-charge waiver, please restrict your entire manuscript word count to 4500 words and figure count to 4 figures. The journal is self-funding and regrettably cannot afford to publish long articles for free. However, excess tables, figures, and appendices can be published as online-only supplemental materials at no charge.
Papers published as part of a conference proceedings will receive free page charges for the first 8 printed pages only. Additional pages will be charged the usual fee of US $50 per page. Color figures are US $320 plus applicable VAT. We cannot publish color figures for free in the print version, but they are always free in the online version.
FORMATTING YOUR MANUSCRIPT
We prefer submissions in Word or rich text format (RTF). LaTeX files can also be accepted. Please add line numbers to your manuscript.
Please do not number your section headings. Use ALL CAPS + BOLD for main headings (level-1), Initial Caps + Bold for subheadings (level-2), and Initial Caps + Italics + Bold for level-3 headings.
Please use the proper characters for en-dashes and minus symbols; do not use a hyphen in number ranges or to indicate a negative number.
REFERENCES STYLE
Please follow the CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers (8th ed.) when formatting references and in-text citations.
You can download the EndNote reference style here: https://endnote.com/style_download/cse-style-manual-8th-ed-name-year/.
Please note, we prefer full journal titles rather than abbreviations. When listing several in-text citations in a row, put them in chronological order by publication year (not alphabetical by author): (Mazan and Hoffman 2001; Smart et al. 2003; Rapley 2010). Do not place a comma before the year in the citation: (Rapley 2010).
For articles with 2 authors, names are separated by a comma in the end reference but by “and” in the in-text reference.
For articles with 3 to 10 authors, list all authors in the end reference; in the in-text reference, list only the first, followed by “et al.”
Numerous entries by same first author
If there are several items with the same first author, alone and/or with coauthors, present items written by a single author before items with coauthors, regardless of title. In such a grouping, give the multiauthor publications in alphabetical order by the second authors’ surname, regardless of the number of authors.
